If you own or run automated teller machines (ATMs), you must follow certain laws enforced by the New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS).

Rules

You may need to have:

ATMs in buildings that are not banks do not need to follow all these rules, if they are only open during normal hours.

DFS checks ATM locations and fines businesses that violate the law.
