Bait License

A Bait License lets you harvest and sell certain fish and water insects as bait. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) gives these licenses.

Details

• You need to renew your license every year.
• This license does not let you harvest certain species.
• You cannot take and sell fish for business in the Hudson River south of the Tappan Zee Bridge. This includes all of the Hudson in New York City.
