A Certificate of Fitness is required for the dispensing, supervision and maintenance of a compressed natural gas (CNG) facility.

A Certificate of Fitness is required to supervise and maintain a CNG motor fuel dispensing facility. NYC has encouraged the conversion of gasoline powered motor vehicles to compressed natural gas (CNG) for the purpose of reducing carbon monoxide emissions.

This Certificate of Fitness is valid only for the person who applied for it and can be used anywhere within New York City.
