Diagnostic and treatment centers need a certificate in New York State. This certificate is from the NYS Department of Health (NYSDOH).
These centers provide a range of primary health care services, and may operate part- or full-time. They can be associated with a clinic or hospital.
Centers need a Certificate of Need to be certified. Certificates of Need show that a service meets a public need, is run by qualified people, and is financially solvent.
