In New York State, it is also illegal to discriminate because of:
- Sexual orientation
- Gender identity
It is illegal to discriminate against someone who:
- Complained about discrimination
- Filed a charge of discrimination
- Sued because of discrimination
New York State has additional anti-discrimination laws.
