If you run a business that makes or sells Halal food, you need to register with the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.
If you sell Halal food that you prepare on-site, you must:
- Post a certification where customers can see it.
- File the information of the person or group that certifies the food.
Registration does not mean your food is certified.
