"New Virtual Classroom Course."
Successful completion of the Infection Control Course for Tattoo Artists is a prerequisite to being issued a Tattoo Artist License. The Infection Control Course is a three hour course conducted twice a month by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's (DOHMH) Health Academy. Participants who complete the course and successfully pass the final written examination will have their Tattoo Artist License issued by the Citywide Licensing Center.
Note: Applicants must submit an application for the Tattoo Artist License and register for the required Infection Control Course at the same time.
