Operating Requirements

    The results of the inspection and any further action to be taken will depend on the type of inspection you are requesting, and the policies and procedures for the specific inspection type. Any invoices received after the inspection can be paid online by entering your account number at FDNY Business. Once the invoice is paid, permits will be emailed to the “Permit/LOA contact” you entered when you requested the inspection.

      Permits must be posted in a conspicuous location on the premises at all times and must be readily available for inspection by any FDNY representative.

        Permits are not transferable and any change in occupancy, operation, tenancy, or ownership requires that a new permit be issued.

          Permits are granted for a specific period of time, not to exceed 2 years, or as set forth in FC105.6 and expire at the end of such period.

            Once issued a Letter of Approval/ Acceptance, the applicant will follow the requirements detailed in the Letter of Approval/Acceptance. Permits can be revoked for failure to maintain compliance.
