National Grid's Commercial and Industrial Efficiency Program helps businesses in New York City save on natural gas. This program used to be called the Economic Development Gas Rate (EDGAR).

Program offerings

• Facility checks to find natural gas efficiency opportunities

• Subsidized engineering studies and steam trap surveys:

  • Studies can get up to $10,000 or 50 percent of the cost.
  • Surveys can get up to $2,500 or 25 percent of the cost.

• Heating and hot water incentives and rebates for eligible equipment

• Additional incentives for efficient kitchen equipment; rewards vary by equipment, so contact National Grid for more details

• Marketing and construction rebates through the ShovelReady program

• Custom rewards for businesses from National Grid
