Warehouse/Locker Plant (Refrigerated) License

If you rent cold storage space for food, you need a license. This license is from the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.

License requirements:

• The license is for places that keep food below 45 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 days or more.
• Items stored must have lot codes.
• You cannot store items for more than two years without special approval.
• Produce-only places pay a lower license fee.
