Every construction site needs a person certified by the Department of Buildings on-site to supervise site safety.

Types of Certifications

There are three types of site safety certifications:

Site Safety Manager: Needed for construction sites of buildings 15 stories and higher in New York City.
Site Safety Coordinator: Needed for construction sites of buildings up to 14 stories in New York City.
Construction Superintendent: Needed for construction sites of buildings up to 9 stories in New York City.
