Special Hauling Permits are needed to move very heavy items. This permit is from the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT).

Weight limits are set for different items by state law. Consult the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law, Section 385 for specific dimensions.

A Special Hauling Permit is issued for the transportation of a single piece or item. A permit will not be issued for any load which can be reduced to legal weight or dimensions.
