Authority to Transport Property (Except Household Goods)

Businesses need this permit to transport property that is not considered a household good. Household goods are things like:

• Furniture
• Kitchen equipment
• Other "items used in daily life in a household"

Businesses need a different permit to move household goods.

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) issues this permit.
