Registration for Demolition Form AR299/300
Businesses that intend to demolish a building, structure, facility or installation must file the Registration for Demolition Form AR 299/300 with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) ten days before starting demolition activities. Buildings, structures, facilities or installations, that have been declared structurally unsound and in danger of imminent collapse by the State or Local government, do not need to register with the DEP. The approved registration must be displayed in the vicinity of the site approved for demolition.
Adequate wetting (the use of mist or liquid to prevent the release of dust) must be used before and during the demolition of any section of the structure to control the amount of airborne dust released from the site during demolition activities.
