The Manufacturing Assistance Program provides monetary grants for manufacturing businesses. Grants are for projects to improve productivity or competitiveness.



Grants are up to $1 million. Businesses must be in New York State, employ 50-1,000 workers, and export at least 30% of their production outside of New York State.

The grant is for a project. The project must include:

  • an investment of at least $1 million;
  • major improvements to production; and
  • retention of 85% of workers for five years.

The project can be for increased or more environmentally friendly production, new equipment, training, or other costs.
