Pesticide Use of Chemicals for the Control or Elimination of Aquatic Vegetation Permit

This permit lets you use chemicals to control or remove aquatic vegetation in New York State. The State Department of Environmental Conservation gives this permit.

You can use these chemicals:

• Copper sulfate for algae
• Diquat for underwater and surface vegetation
• Low-volatile esters, salts and amines of 2,4-D for surface vegetation

Other chemicals might be allowed if they follow the law and rules.
