Before you submit your application
Applicant must get a Bingo Identification Number from the New York State Gaming Commission.
Non-Profit Organizations incorporated in New York State must register and remain active with the New York State Department of State. Active status will be verified by DCWP prior to license issuance. If operating under an Assumed or Doing-Business-As (DBA) Name, an Assumed Name Certificate must also be filed.
Non-Profit Organizations incorporated outside of New York State must obtain a Certificate of Doing Business in Good Standing from the Secretary of State from the business' home state, and file it with an in New York with the New York State Secretary of State. Although DCWP does not require hardcopy submission of business certificates, DCWP reserves the right to request and examine the documents under section 20.104 of the New York City Administrative Code.
Submit a proof of right to use the premises where the non-profit organization will hold bingo games. More info
- Acceptable proofs include a copy of the deed or bill of sale or a copy of the current lease. Please note that if the applicant will submit a current lease, the landowner must have a Commercial Lessor License issued by DCWP.
If the license application will be filed by someone other than the applicant, complete the Granting Authority to Act Affirmation.

- $18.75: License Fee per bingo game occasion with a maximum of 216 occasions per calendar year.
- Non-Refundable Convenience Fee for paying with a credit card.
- Bingo Additional Fee: 5% of net proceeds per occasion.

- Check (Payable to NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. Please note that the check must be issued from a bank account that is established solely for bingo game and / or games of chance transactions.)
- Credit card including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Card.
