If you make and sell alcoholic drinks in New York State, you need to register your brand labels with the State Liquor Authority (SLA). This rule makes sure all drinks are safe to drink and meet labeling requirements.
You need to label:
- Liquor
- Beer
- Wine products
- Wine with less than 7 percent alcohol
You cannot put false health or benefit claims on the label. You must register and pay a fee for each brand. You also need to register again if you change your brand.
