Intermodal Registration

All intermodal solid waste transfer facilities must be registered with the New York City Department of Sanitation and operate in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations, per Sections 4-39 ? 4-46 of Title 16 of the Rules of the City of New York. An intermodal solid waste facility is a facility where intermodal containers of solid waste are transferred from transport vehicles to rail, vessel, or other transport for shipment to an authorized treatment or disposal facility.
