Manufacturers in New York City are eligible for exemptions from state and local sales taxes.

The exemptions apply to purchases and installation of machinery and equipment, supplies, or fuel and utilities.

Businesses must apply for the exemption with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance (DTF).
